ChoreoLab

exploring movement

ChoreoLab is a series of workshops in which we will be exploring choreographic and choreological ideas. Each session will consist of a short theoretic framework where emphasis will be heavily on a choreological approach to movement. We will look at the 5 elements that make up the structural model of movement: body, space, actions, dynamics and relationships. We will use these 5 elements as a point of departure to learn in a very practical way about movement. The emphasis will be on working with multiple dancers as a lot of attention will be given to the relatedness between the different dancers' use of space and/or dynamics. These workshops are explorations and discoveries will be made both by students as well as the teacher. Hilde will use these discoveries for her choreographic research.

Please note that this is NOT a dance class. We will be moving, but there will be no technique covered in these classes.

All levels are welcome!
