About the event
The Alchemy Program is the culmination of decades of Jill's experiences as a pioneer, dancer, instructor, mentor, and creative force. Jill's master eye helps her students identify their strengths and areas for improvement in support of reaching their unique dance related goals. This course will focus on goal setting, personal feedback, and a holistic approach to belly dance fundamentals. Alchemy includes 35 hours of instruction in an intimate atmosphere where Jill's instruction can be tailored to her students (This is her super power!). Jill will also facilitate an opportunity for the program participants to learn how to give appropriate and helpful feedback as well as an opportunity to perform and grow with specifically tailored feedback from each other, including Jill.
A major focus of the program will be the technique and dance vocabulary that is the underpinning of Jill's elegant and easeful style. Jill’s decades of personal study and training with the forerunners of our art form yields a dance vocabulary that is rich in texture and history, and will make you fall in love with belly dance all over again. Jill will share her approaches to both improvisation and choreography as well as musings on musicality and performance.

Please note that either a deposit or the full amount needs to be received within 7 days of receiving confirmation of your place onto the intensive or you may lose your place on the intensive.
The fee for this intensive is £635 and can be paid in full or in 5 consecutive instalments of £127 . This amount needs to be paid in full, meaning that if participants choose to pay via PayPal or via international bank transfer, they will need to make sure all fees are covered by the participant.
The deposit is the first payment of 5 consecutive instalments and comes to £127, meaning that the total amount of £635 should be received within 5 months of signing up.
About Jill Parker
Jill Parker is a master teacher, lifelong student and lover of belly dance for nearly 30 years. She is known the world over as an innovator and a generous teacher with a gift for demystifying this sensuous form, making its techniques accessible to new dancers, while offering tremendous insight and nuanced instruction to advanced and professional students. Jill teaches and performs internationally, and makes her home in San Francisco, the origin and home of Tribal Fusion Bellydance.
Jill Parker is the founder of the modern Tribal Fusion belly dance phenomenon, birthed out of San Francisco California in the mid-90's.
Jill was an original member of FatChanceBellyDance, and founder of Ultra Gypsy Dance Theater, the trail blazing company that birthed such great dancers as Rachel Brice, Sharon Kihara, Lady Fred, Rose Harden, and countless others.
With nearly three decades of experience, Jill has trained the top belly dancers in the genre and influenced a generation of belly dancers with her modern innovations, all the while remaining deeply rooted in her connection to the traditional, sensual, and authentic.
Jill's big heart and deep love for this intoxicating form shines through in her generous teaching as well as her performances worldwide.
